Job description
The Software Strategy and M&A Summer Intern will support the IBM Software Strategy and M&A team, which focuses on driving revenue growth and profitability for IBM Software. This role involves developing strategies for go-to-market initiatives and software mergers and acquisitions. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data and provide insights that inform strategic decisions. The main focus is on accelerating client adoption of IBM's core platforms and driving sustainable software revenue growth.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program at a top school, graduating in May 2027.
- Technical or data-intensive undergraduate degree.
- Experience with a major business consulting firm, software, sales, data science, or banking/finance.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of strategies and initiatives across the IBM Software Business.
- Conduct research and apply a consultative, data-driven approach to strategy development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Development, Sales, and Marketing.
- Assist in identifying lead acquisition targets and assessing their strategic fit.
- Build insights through market research and engage with potential M&A candidates.
