The role is part of a specialized cybersecurity fraud team known as the 'fraud red team' at Citi. This team simulates real-world fraud scenarios to identify vulnerabilities and test the effectiveness of fraud prevention measures. The primary focus is on conducting adversarial simulations, assessing fraud detection systems, and providing recommendations for mitigation. The position requires a blend of technical skills and fraud domain knowledge to effectively address potential weaknesses in fraud prevention strategies.

• 3+ years of relevant experience in fraud testing/red team, fraud operations, or threat simulation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of device fingerprinting, browser spoofing, proxy/VPN usage, and basic scripting like Shell/Python/Java.
• Proven analytical skills and ability to present quantitative analytics.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

• Conduct adversarial simulation of products and processes to assess the effectiveness of controls and fraud detection systems.
• Identify vulnerabilities to help Citi address potential weaknesses in their fraud prevention strategies.
• Provide recommendations for mitigation of vulnerabilities and lead debriefings with cross-functional partners.
• Create and use BOT tools and run velocity and load testing.
• Assist Fraud Incident Response Teams with incident investigations and aid in technical risk assessments.
• Monitor vulnerability assessments and ensure that issues are addressed for the applications supported.
