As an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Field Engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, focusing on design, maintenance, and operational improvements. You will leverage your engineering expertise to mentor teams and develop innovative solutions while ensuring safety and reliability. This role requires collaboration with diverse teams across AWS to maintain high standards in data center operations. You will also engage in both office and field work, contributing to projects that enhance capacity and efficiency.

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience analyzing failures of fire protection systems or fire investigation.
• Licensed Fire Protection Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of ICC Codes, NFPA Standards, and other fire protection industry standards.

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers.
• Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with training and complex operating procedure reviews.
• Mentor and train customers and partner engineers in fire protection principles.
• Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades.
• Interface with internal teams to promote standards for consistency and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS’s data centers.
• Initiate and lead engineering audits including on-site visits.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects.
