The Senior Design Engineer will join the North America Amazon Logistics Design Engineering Team to support the expansion of the Delivery Station Network. This role focuses on building design, process optimization, and standardization across the Last Mile delivery network. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure designs meet safety, quality, and cost goals. The position requires a strong technical background in material handling and experience in managing large projects.

• 6+ years of experience managing multiple large projects.
• 6+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, design engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Master's degree or above in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a STEM field.
• Experience working as a Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer for physical infrastructure designs.
• Knowledge of successful Fulfillment, Distribution, Warehouse, or Delivery station designs.
• Experience with design engineering and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Visio, and Solidworks.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLookUps.

• Responsible for building design, development, review, and release for approval.
• Provide process expertise on engineering design including material flow and site layout components.
• Achieve the daily and weekly plan set for Design engineers.
• Collaborate with various teams including Design Managers, Real Estate Transaction managers, and Finance.
• Contribute to a culture of standardization using best practice sharing.
• Lead continuous process and design benchmark initiatives.
• Support the Design quality control process for accurate designs.
• Implement new Design standards in collaboration with various teams.
• Responsible for new expansion and process improvement initiatives.
• Implement solutions for recurring process issues within Design Engineering processes.
• Facilitate cross-functional project specific reviews to collaborate on design solutions.
