The Jr. Electrical Engineer at Amazon Web Services will be part of a global engineering team focused on designing and innovating electrical distribution systems for data centers. This role involves collaboration with various disciplines to ensure high-quality designs that meet budgetary requirements. The engineer will work closely with senior engineers and local agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and building codes. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel

• Create data center electrical designs and collaborate with other disciplines to produce a construction document set.
• Ensure designs meet or exceed quality requirements and fall within budgetary constraints.
• Work with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes.
• Review and approve equipment submittals.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests during construction phases.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams to test and validate the installation and performance of electrical systems.
• Travel to sites for reviews and work with onsite field engineers, providing engineering evaluations and electrical systems audits.
