The Apple Translation & Multilingual Intelligence team is seeking exceptional Software Engineers to develop low-level frameworks and services that connect advanced Machine Learning models to various Translation experiences. This role focuses on enhancing customer experiences and involves collaboration with multiple partner teams. Candidates should be strong programmers and creative problem solvers who thrive in dynamic environments. As a senior member, you will lead projects and mentor others while pushing the boundaries of technology.

• 5+ years of development experience with Objective C and/or Swift
• Experience in object-oriented software design and programming
• Framework-level programming experience including multi-threaded architectures and cross-process communication
• Accomplished debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong testing discipline
• Project leadership experience
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of industrial working experience
• Experience with user features that integrate or adopt language modeling technologies
• Understanding of issues with delivering features for an international audience
• Experience with AI tools to support coding, reviews, and code analysis

• Develop low-level frameworks and services for Machine Learning models and inference engines
• Collaborate with partner teams including Asset management, Phone/FaceTime, and Messages
• Maintain existing code and fix bugs
• Contribute to overall system design
