The Software Development Engineer (SDE) role in the AWS Network Backbone Organization focuses on expanding solutions that support the backbone of the AWS global network. You will work in a hybrid team of software, systems development, and network engineers to enhance software-defined networks. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

• Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
• Write high quality distributed system software.
• Work closely with Network, Systems, and Software Engineering teams to ensure fast and smooth roll-out of new designs and products.
• Use data to measure success and take responsibility for the quality of your service.
• Contribute to documentation of process and procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with your team.
