The Lead GenAI Forward Deployed Engineer for YouTube GTM Operations will play a critical role in driving AI transformation across YouTube's business operations. This position is part of the AI Accelerator team, which focuses on redesigning legacy workflows and deploying intelligent AI-powered solutions. The engineer will work closely with product management and stakeholders to create tool roadmaps that enhance business operations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking to address operational challenges and deliver impactful AI applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
• 9 years of experience building APIs or web applications and designing scalable microservice architectures.
• 8 years of experience in full-stack development using programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, C++, or TypeScript.
• 4 years of experience working with teams and business stakeholders to create product roadmaps.
• 4 years of experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.

• Build GenAI proof of concepts to demonstrate feasibility to stakeholders.
• Serve as engineering lead delivering complex AI applications and transitioning prototypes to production-grade systems.
• Act as a trusted engineering partner to product management and stakeholders, co-creating tool roadmaps.
• Author technical designs, write clean and maintainable code, and deliver from scoping to deployment.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to resolve AI bottlenecks.
