The Partner Solutions Engineer for Universal Commerce Protocol at Google is responsible for bridging the gap between Google and the global commerce ecosystem. This role focuses on enabling retailers and platforms to integrate with Google's commerce products through technical implementation and optimization. The team drives both early-stage pilots and scaling efforts, advocating for customer and partner experiences. The position requires collaboration with engineering and product teams to enhance product capabilities based on data-driven insights.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP.
• 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages including Java, C/C++, or Python.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal or external partners or customers.

• Drive zero-to-one partner scoping and technical discovery to define requirements for schemas and workflows.
• Offer specialized technical subject matter expertise and integration support during configuration and testing.
• Reproduce, isolate, and debug technical anomalies encountered during live feature pilots.
• Build synthetic testbeds, reference mocks, and validation scripts to expedite onboarding against evolving protocol schemas.
• Collaborate with Core Engineering and Product Management teams to test protocol capabilities and advocate for product improvements.
