This role involves working closely with enterprise clients to create scalable, always-on transactional databases that support AI agents. The engineer will leverage automated tools to facilitate customer modernization journeys and ensure secure paths to AI innovation. This position is part of the Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team, which aims to help businesses thrive through cloud technology.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience with Google Cloud Databases such as AlloyDB, Cloud SQL, Spanner, Firestore, and Bigtable.
• Experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
• Experience in application development using Java, Python, and build systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and AI integration.

• Design and manage unified, multi-model database solutions including relational and key-value databases.
• Lead complex database modernizations using migration agents and standardize source-to-destination transfers.
• Shift database Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to proactive, AI-driven management.
• Implement QueryData APIs to build conversational analytics experiences.
• Establish security protocols and access control policies aligned with industry regulations.
