The role involves working as a software engineer in the Wireless R&D group at Qualcomm, focusing on the development of a Test Base Station for verifying mobile chipset functionality. The team is dedicated to creating advanced features for 5G and 6G wireless technologies. The position requires collaboration in the implementation and verification of complex wireless systems, utilizing sophisticated multi-thread software written in C++. The successful candidate will engage in fast-paced development supported by Continuous Integration processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software design and development with C++ or strong C programming skills with familiarity in object-oriented concepts.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle.
• Familiarity with 3GPP 4G/5G specifications and the ability to translate them to requirements.
• Knowledge of multi-core, multi-threaded programming and associated OS concepts.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software development and debugging tools such as IDEs, build systems, git, and gdb.

• Own 5G/6G Radio Access Network Layer 2 responsibilities.
• Drive 3GPP 5G/6G feature development from specification through commercialization.
• Design and develop Layer 2 functionality, including downlink and uplink channel configuration, data-plane, and call flows.
• Implement and optimize fixed and dynamic downlink and uplink channel schedulers and data-plane paths.
• Interface with NodeB Layer 3 and Layer 1 components.
• Develop real-time-sensitive, multi-core, and multi-threaded software for the NodeB.
• Debug, profile, and optimize software for latency, throughput, and reliability on the target platform.
