Citi’s Banking Technology organization is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to develop and deploy innovative AI solutions for Investment, Corporate, and Commercial Banking. The role emphasizes an AI-first mindset, focusing on rapid prototyping and iterative delivery within agile teams. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in AI frameworks and generative AI to create scalable solutions that meet business needs. This position also involves mentoring junior engineers and ensuring alignment with banking regulations and requirements.

• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java, with working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of core AI concepts such as knowledge representation and multi-agent systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agent frameworks.
• Practical experience with ML frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Experience designing API-first and microservices-based architectures.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
• Solid understanding of banking and financial services.

• Design, implement, and deploy scalable agentic AI frameworks and generative AI solutions.
• Develop and integrate agentic AI systems using multiple model providers and platforms.
• Build full-stack applications that integrate LLM-driven workflows and AI coding tools.
• Drive an MVP-first, rapid-iteration approach with continuous experimentation.
• Define and implement metrics and evaluation strategies to improve AI system performance.
• Research and integrate advances in agent-based and generative AI technologies.
• Contribute hands-on within cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure AI solutions align with banking and financial services requirements.
