Job description
The Architect role at AWS involves designing and implementing architectural systems for data centers while collaborating with various engineering disciplines. You will be part of a diverse team focused on innovation and continuous improvement in AWS's global infrastructure. This position emphasizes teamwork and communication, requiring you to work with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be responsible for mentoring and supporting the engineering community within the Data Center Operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years of design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement architectural systems for data centers, collaborating with various engineering disciplines.
- Support continuous improvement through data analysis and system optimization.
- Conceive, initiate, and lead projects with widespread impact on infrastructure design.
- Decompose complex problems into straightforward and actionable solutions.
- Produce clear and concise documentation such as detailed design specifications and reports.
- Drive standardization in the data center architectural space.
- Provide technical support on global Large Scale Events, including participation in investigations.
- Maintain and host technical architectural forums for collaborative development.
