The Sr System Development Engineer, Mfg Bring Up and Test is responsible for driving manufacturing test excellence across AWS's global server and rack production network. This role involves owning the end-to-end manufacturing test strategy for new product introductions, ensuring high quality and efficiency in production. The team consists of various engineering roles that focus on validating hardware across multiple platforms. The position requires collaboration with internal engineering teams and external manufacturing partners to ensure production readiness.

• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, system validation, or production test development.
• Experience with server- or rack-level hardware testing and validation in a data center or contract manufacturer environment.
• Experience designing or architecting test systems or manufacturing validation frameworks.
• Experience deploying and operating in Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives with external manufacturing partners.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), PFMEA, and first-pass yield improvement methodologies.

• Own the end-to-end manufacturing test strategy and execution for server and rack systems.
• Drive testability requirements and lead design-for-test reviews from early design stages.
• Develop and standardize comprehensive test strategies across all critical subsystems.
• Architect and deploy the complete manufacturing test infrastructure and automated test flows.
• Drive test automation and telemetry to reduce manual intervention and accelerate feedback loops.
• Apply a rigorous change management process to prevent regressions.
• Lead manufacturing test failure triage and yield improvement during New Product Introduction.
• Establish data-driven boundaries between manufacturing and post-deployment validation.
• Drive capacity analysis across test positions and yield projections during production ramp.
• Serve as the key technical liaison between internal engineering teams and external manufacturing partners.
