NVIDIA is looking for a Distinguished Engineer to lead the AI Safety & Security Engineering team. This role focuses on developing AI-powered tools to identify and address software vulnerabilities while establishing engineering standards and architectural frameworks. The engineer will bridge research and production, ensuring that innovative ideas meet enterprise reliability. Mentorship and collaboration are key components of this position, as the engineer will guide founding engineers and work with various teams to shape the future of secure AI systems.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 18+ years designing and building complex systems.
• Deep experience architecting distributed systems, ML pipelines, or large-scale platforms.
• A record of turning research into production-grade engineering.
• Ability to align engineers and researchers on one technical direction.

• Define the canonical harness architecture and component baseline.
• Set the engineering standards the team builds on.
• Guide the Find, Validate, and Patch technical roadmap.
• Mentor founding engineers and support their growth.
