The Senior Critical Environment Battery Monitoring System Engineer at Microsoft will serve as a technical cornerstone for datacenter battery monitoring systems, providing essential support during global deployments. This role involves managing lab environments to align with production standards and collaborating with security and partner teams to enhance system reliability and security. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, systems engineering or industrial controls OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
• 3+ years technical experience working with large-scale cloud or distributed systems.
• Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of at least four specific battery monitoring applications.
• Experience with automating functions like scripting, SQL queries, and/or MS Flow is highly desired.

• Act as a technical resource during global BMS deployments, providing expert troubleshooting as needed.
• Address and solve complex technical issues that arise, enhancing system reliability and performance.
• Implement global standards and identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Oversee the lab BMS deployment for testing, troubleshooting, and alignment with production standards.
• Partner with security on BMS application review and drive resolution of security findings with BMS supplier.
• Collaborate with partner teams to improve system design and support infrastructure.
