The Principal Software Engineer will be part of the Entra End User UX team within the IAM organization, focusing on enhancing the identity and access self-service experience for customers. This role emphasizes technical leadership, architectural ownership, and driving AI innovation across various platforms. The engineer will work collaboratively with product, design, and security leaders to influence strategic decisions and ensure high-quality execution. The position aims to establish engineering excellence and mentor senior engineers while fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of designing, coding, and troubleshooting cloud-based software.
• 7+ years of proficiency in various languages, especially web-based technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and C#.

• Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and long-term strategy for the End user experience and foundational architecture.
• Lead cross-organizational initiatives that advance AI-powered administration and platform modernization.
• Partner with engineering, product, design, and security leaders to influence roadmap decisions and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Establish and champion engineering excellence through architectural guidance and operational rigor.
• Mentor and develop senior engineers while raising the technical bar across the organization.
