The IBM Electronic Design Automation (EDA) team is looking for motivated early-career engineers who are passionate about software engineering, AI, and semiconductor design. This role involves developing advanced software and Agentic AI solutions that enhance the design and verification of IBM's next-generation processors and computing systems. As an EDA Software Engineer, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to create innovative tools for various IBM products. The focus is on AI-driven automation and algorithm engineering to improve design quality and accelerate chip development.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, Rust, or similar is required.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is necessary.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and digital logic design is essential.
• Coursework or project experience with AI or Agent Engineering is preferred.

• Develop and deploy Agentic AI and machine learning solutions that automate complex chip design workflows.
• Build and maintain software tools that support logic design, functional verification, timing analysis, and physical design.
• Design and implement efficient algorithms and large-scale software systems to improve design quality.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers across IBM to deliver innovative solutions.
