Job description
The Entry Level Structural Engineer will join the Federal Buildings team in St. Louis, MO, focusing on designing various structural projects, from multi-building complexes to historic renovations. This role emphasizes continuous learning and collaboration, providing mentorship from experienced engineers. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring technical quality in engineering tasks and construction documents. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in Civil or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs, specifically Excel.
- Ideally, possess a Master's degree in Structural, Architectural, or Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support teams on critical structural projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion.
- Perform complex calculations and analysis as the structural design is developed.
- Communicate structural requirements effectively with Designers and other team members.
- Check work for quality control and seek guidance from peers and seniors when needed.
