Amazon is looking for a Sr. Robotics Electrical Engineer to develop advanced robotics systems that enhance automation. The role involves working in a dynamic environment to support product development across design, validation, and manufacturing. Candidates will engage in system design, prototyping, and ensuring product quality. This position offers the opportunity to work with interdisciplinary teams on innovative robotic solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of hardware engineering experience.
- Experience in PCB and FPC design including schematic capture, stackup, and circuit board layout.
- Experience with motor control systems and associated drive electronics.
- Experience with sensor design and integration for robotics including capacitive, force/torque sensors, encoders, IMUs, and tactile sensors.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end electrical hardware design for robotic systems from system-level architecture to production release.
- Own schematic design and multi-layer PCB layout in Altium Designer.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in collaboration with fabrication and assembly vendors.
- Define system-level electrical architecture for robotic platforms.
- Contribute embedded firmware to validate interfaces and unblock system integration.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical and electromechanical failures.
- Develop and execute board- and system-level validation test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including controls, mechanical, firmware, and software.
