As a Senior Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will design and develop embedded platform software for CPU, DSP, and NPU processors within the Snapdragon SoC portfolio. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to create high-performance software solutions that optimize multimedia and machine learning use cases. You will leverage your expertise in embedded software, operating systems, and drivers to enhance system performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C/C++ programming and experience with real-time operating systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
• Significant experience in C/C++ programming.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and driver development.
• A deep understanding of high-performance processor architecture.

• Design and develop multi-processor multimedia and AI frameworks that span across CPU, DSP, and NPU.
• Develop high-performance drivers and runtime libraries to unlock the full potential of specialized DSP and AI hardware.
• Profile and optimize system performance using advanced DSP architecture knowledge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate design trade-offs and incorporate custom instructions.
• Integrate and test software on target devices while supporting commercialization efforts.
