Citi's Equity Research team is seeking a Senior Associate to enhance its Chemicals research franchise by providing independent investment insights to institutional clients. The role involves financial modeling, industry research, and utilizing AI-driven methods to analyze established chemical companies. The Senior Associate will collaborate with senior analysts to develop investment views and engage with clients. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on the Chemicals sector.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Asset Management, Valuation, or another financial markets-related role.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting fundamentals, and corporate finance.
• Experience building financial models and performing company valuation analyses.
• Active holding of, or eligibility to obtain, SIE, Series 63, Series 86, and Series 87 licenses within 180 days.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for financial markets and investing.
• Ability to learn quickly and develop expertise in a new industry or sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

• Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models for companies across the Chemicals landscape.
• Draft and co-author equity research publications, including earnings previews and recaps.
• Analyze company fundamentals, industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments.
• Work closely with senior research analysts to develop differentiated investment views.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external clients regarding sector developments.
• Coordinate and support investor events including management meetings and industry conferences.
• Apply AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance research workflows.
• Mentor and support junior team members to contribute to a high-performing research environment.
• Evaluate business and investment decisions with sound judgment while adhering to regulatory standards.
