Apple's Display Technologies group is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to design and develop innovative display modules for future products. The role involves creating next-generation technologies and integrating them into robust display designs. Candidates should have a strong background in consumer electronics and mechanical design. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver high-quality displays.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Expertise in mechanical engineering fundamentals including properties of materials, solid mechanics, beam statics, Newtonian physics, and thermodynamics.
• Experience leading mechanical design and validation.
• 3D/2D software experience with tools such as Pro/E, NX, CATIA, or Solidworks.
• Experience with simulation and analysis such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodology and capable of large data set analysis using JMP, MATLAB, or Minitab.
• Electro-mechanical design experience for high-volume products with an emphasis on reliability.
• Experience creating and applying AI/ML tools for mechanical engineering workflows.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge.
• Understanding of DFA/DFM and statistical tolerance analysis.

• Design and develop innovative display modules for future products.
• Integrate next-generation technologies into mechanically robust display designs.
• Act as a focal point among cross-functional teams and suppliers to identify and resolve open issues.
• Lead technical projects into qualification and production.
• Develop component or material evaluation tests.
• Create and modify engineering drawings.
• Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) and scientific methods to address engineering issues.
