Job description
The Mechanical Engineer role at AWS involves ownership and continuous improvement of data center liquid cooling infrastructure products. You will be part of a diverse global engineering team focused on ensuring the reliability and efficiency of cooling systems in data centers. This position requires hands-on experience in mechanical and manufacturing processes related to liquid cooling. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance product performance and support operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities.
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
- Experience leading cooling product design and understanding cooling principles.
- Professional Engineer License is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide recommendations based on strong engineering judgment despite uncertainty.
- Review, update, and approve equipment submittals.
- Work with global liquid cooling equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
- Support operations including failure mode and root cause analysis.
- Listen to customer feedback to identify product reliability improvements.
- Contribute to a cycle of continuous improvement at a global scale.
