The Software Development Engineer will join the Discovery Insights Foundry team within Amazon Vulnerability Management Services. This role focuses on building AI-driven reporting tools that provide real-time insights into Vulnerability Management across AWS. The engineer will work on interactive data visualization, data analytics pipelines, and AI-powered services. This position offers a unique opportunity to impact security decisions at a high organizational level.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#

• Design and review architecture for software systems
• Develop software features in Java and Python using AWS services
• Set and achieve high standards for operational excellence
• Build partnerships with technical stakeholders across Amazon
• Conduct system resilience testing and preparation
• Plan software projects using Agile methodologies
