The Software Development Engineer will join the AWS Cloudscape team to develop intent-based UX for the AWS Management Console. This role involves designing, building, and operating systems that impact AWS service builders. The engineer will work across the full stack, utilizing GenAI technologies and collaborating with various teams. The position emphasizes ownership of systems from design to production operations, focusing on builder experience outcomes.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems
• 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle

• Design and own end-to-end systems, including backend services, APIs, and frontend integration.
• Build and evolve GenAI-powered services for intent-based UX generation and validation.
• Contribute to long-term technical vision and architecture decisions.
• Balance short-term delivery with scalable and maintainable system design.
• Work directly with the AWS builders community to understand needs and translate them into solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence through instrumentation, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Experiment with AI-powered capabilities such as conversational setup and natural-language troubleshooting.
