Job description
Apple is looking for a System Electrical Engineer for its Mac Development platform, focusing on electrical and system design integration. The role involves designing, implementing, testing, and debugging electrical subsystems within a collaborative team environment. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, including an understanding of E&M physics and computer/system architecture.
- Working knowledge of design and validation requirements for various digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, USB, and PCIe.
- Experience using lab tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for electrical design validation.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Allegro and experience with multilayer PCBs.
Responsibilities
- Design and capture schematics and coordinate layout for multilayer PCBs.
- Perform simulation, bring-up, debug, and validation for Apple Silicon products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design validation and testing.
- Conduct component data-sheet analysis and selection for schematic capture.
- Utilize standard lab equipment for PCB bring-up and debugging.
