Amazon's Stores AppSec Team is looking for a Security Engineer to enhance security for its customers. The role involves identifying security issues in Amazon's services, applications, and websites through penetration testing and security reviews. Engineers will work closely with various teams across Information Security, providing technical leadership and advice. A strong sense of customer obsession and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder engagements are essential for success in this position.

• 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
• 2+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review experience in a common programming language.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating tasks using command line tools.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 2+ years of IT Security experience.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of industry-based security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
• 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
• Experience with AWS products and services.
• Experience performing security activities across one or more phases of the software development lifecycle.

• Conduct high-quality application security reviews and penetration tests independently or as part of a team.
• Create detailed engagement plans and document findings, gaps, and remediation recommendations.
• Contribute to team tooling, innovation, and improvements.
• Communicate and collaborate with partner teams, service owners, Information Security, and senior leadership to drive the resolution of security findings.
