The Distinguished Engineer for Google Product Site Reliability will focus on defining and owning the long-term technical vision and strategy to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability across Google's user-facing products and services. This role involves collaboration with executive stakeholders to address reliability challenges and improve system performance. The engineer will also lead the adoption of AI-enabled tools to streamline operations and incident response. The position is critical in transforming Site Reliability Engineering practices towards an AI-first approach.

• 15 years of experience in software development.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.
• Experience architecting, developing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Experience in concurrency, multithreading, and synchronization.

• Define and own the long-term technical vision and strategy that drive efficiency, reliability, and scalability across Google's user-facing products and services.
• Work with executive stakeholders with a focus on Ads, Search, Geo, YouTube, and Platforms and Devices to understand, align, and improve reliability challenges and needs.
• Direct the development and safe adoption of AI-enabled tools to systemically reduce toil, up-level incident response, and detect user pain points.
• Help lead the transformation of SRE toward AI-first production practices.
• Identify classes of issues and methods to prioritize and address in a constrained environment, influencing teams to align and deliver.
