The Senior Staff Software Engineer for Pixel Audio Experiences at Google is responsible for developing and driving a multi-year roadmap of audio features on Pixel devices. This role involves synthesizing knowledge of Ambient Compute systems and managing the delivery of audio quality across software stacks. The engineer will collaborate with senior leadership, product management, and research teams to ensure exceptional audio experiences. The position requires versatility and leadership qualities to tackle new challenges across the full stack.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 7 years of experience with full stack development in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
• 5 years of experience with design, architecture, and testing/launching software products.
• Experience with audio technologies.

• Collaborate with senior leadership, product management, and research teams to define the roadmap of audio features for Pixel devices.
• Implement experiences and features working with codebases throughout the stack from embedded to high-level OS applications.
• Lead multi-year engineering efforts across sub-component teams while owning the strategy and architectural improvements required to deliver audio quality on Pixel devices.
• Design solution architectures that enable solutions to fit within extremely constrained compute environments.
• Hold teams accountable for Pixel Audio quality, ensuring polish and perfecting the product to create delightful audio experiences for users.
