As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Databricks, you will collaborate with customers to address their data and AI challenges using the Databricks Platform. This hands-on, customer-facing role requires a blend of engineering expertise and business acumen to deliver impactful solutions. You will lead architecture and design decisions while working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams. The ideal candidate is adaptable, curious, and passionate about solving complex problems for customers.

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering
• Proficiency in coding with Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks
• Experience with two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark™
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
• Knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs
• Experience in designing and deploying performant production end-to-end data architectures and applications
• Strong documentation and white-boarding skills
• Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across a broad stakeholder range
• Willingness to travel to customers 20% of the time
• Databricks Certification

• Lead impactful customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems and designing reference architectures.
• Guide strategic customers in implementing transformational big data projects, including end-to-end design and deployment.
• Advise customers on architecture and design to ensure successful understanding and adoption of Databricks.
• Lead architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.
• Collaborate with the Databricks technical team and customer teams to meet technical engagement needs.
• Provide product and implementation feedback to Engineering and Customer Support for rapid issue resolution.
• Engage with customer stakeholders to deeply understand challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute to accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale impact across accounts.
