You will play a crucial role in improving quality of life through sustainable design and engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • 12 years of construction management or field engineering experience on transportation infrastructure projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Active Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of IDOT and/or Illinois Tollway standards and construction administration practices.
  • Proficiency with construction management and documentation tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day construction oversight for roadway and bridge projects.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to inspection staff.
  • Review contract documents and project documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and help resolve field issues, including differing site conditions and schedule impacts.
  • Lead contractor coordination and support change order negotiations.
  • Conduct project meetings and issue-resolution efforts with a professional approach.
  • Work closely with project management staff to monitor scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including daily inspection reports and issue logs.
  • Serve as a primary field point of contact for the client and contractor.
