The Senior Data Scientist role within the CADET team focuses on building a customer-grounded quality system for Copilot. The team aims to identify critical customer scenarios and improve product quality through data-driven insights. This position involves synthesizing various quality signals to create a comprehensive view of customer experiences. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining metrics, taxonomies, and reporting mechanisms to guide quality investments.

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience
• Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years data-science experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years data-science experience
• Solid experience using data to shape product strategy and decisions in a complex, high-scale product or platform environment
• Expertise in SQL and at least one analytical programming language such as Python or R

• Build and operate a data-driven prioritization framework for CADET quality forums and partner teams.
• Define and maintain intent, sub-intent, customer scenario, coverage, and loss-pattern taxonomies.
• Measure how well evaluation portfolios represent production traffic and customer segments.
• Identify underrepresented customers, intents, scenarios, and loss patterns.
• Design quality gates for top intents and top customers.
• Build recurring scorecards that connect offline evaluation movement with online measures.
• Analyze offline-online agreement and quality movement over time.
• Develop sampling, weighting, deduplication, clustering, and trend-detection approaches.
• Use causal and experimental methods to distinguish correlation and treatment impact.
• Partner to translate customer evidence into valid task distributions and metrics.
