Job description

Microsoft is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) team within the Trusted Technology Group (TTG). This role will support various teams including Privacy, Digital Safety, and Accessibility as they engage with regulators globally. The focus is on advancing Microsoft's trust strategy and improving operational efficiency through innovative processes and technologies. The ideal candidate will foster collaboration and provide guidance on regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience (preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects (preferred).
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (preferred).
  • Experience in Dynamics CRM (preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in privacy, digital safety, accessibility, responsible AI and/or related fields (preferred).
  • Ability to make risk-based decisions that involve tradeoffs (preferred).
  • Ability to persuade, influence, collaborate, and build trust with stakeholders (preferred).
  • Keen interest in Microsoft products and advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the vendor team responsible for the triage, routing, assignment, and tracking of regulatory and consumer inquiries received by Microsoft.
  • Monitor incoming volume of regulatory inquiries across multiple domains and ensure efficient triage and routing.
  • Ensure timely assignment of regulatory inquiries to regulatory engagement teams, balancing workload and expertise.
  • Identify appropriate project management for large, high-impact regulatory inquiries from intake through resolution.
  • Develop and execute improvement plans that strengthen end-to-end response quality, speed, and consistency.
  • Drive innovation and efficiency in TTG’s operations, processes, and digital tools, leveraging artificial intelligence and other technologies.
  • Partner with engineering, support, and other partner teams to identify gaps and inefficiencies surfaced through regulatory engagements.
  • Monitor the health of working relationships with internal stakeholders and partner teams.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collaboration, communication, and trust across the regulatory engagement ecosystem.
  • Provide subject-matter guidance to the vendor team supporting the Regulatory Inquiries Program and partner functions.
  • Foster a growth-driven mindset and learning culture in TTG and across CELA.
