The Amazon Prime Air Team is looking for an experienced Battery/BMS engineer to support the development and scaling of the electrical propulsion system for Prime Air Drones. This role involves troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and developing solutions for battery operations. The engineer will also document workflows and collaborate with supply chain and external vendors. A strong focus on battery design, management, and charging methods is essential for this position.

• 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in 3D CAD
• Experience using common electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies
• Knowledge of battery design, maintenance, and charging logic
• 3+ years of experience with battery design, management, and charging
• Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot hardware and software interfaces
• Conduct root cause analysis on hardware failures across the electrical propulsion subsystem
• Provide corrective actions for identified issues
• Implement changes in production-level hardware and software
• Dive deep into battery cells, production, and charging methods
