The Sr. Electrical Hardware Engineer will oversee the hardware development lifecycle for flight-critical avionics systems at Amazon's Prime Air team. This role involves collaboration with various cross-functional teams to ensure safety and reliability in autonomous drone delivery systems. The engineer will be responsible for developing verification and validation test plans and leading root cause analysis of hardware failures. The position requires expertise in electrical engineering and a focus on designing reliable avionics hardware.

• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years of hardware engineering experience
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
• Experience troubleshooting issues and conducting root cause analysis
• Experience in PCB design, including schematic capture, stack-up, and board layout
• Proficiency with EE engineering design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, MATLAB/Simulink
• Experience with aerospace or aviation electronics and applicable standards like DO-160 and DO-254
• Experience in sensor design and integration for aerospace applications
• Experience in reliability engineering, including accelerated life testing and DFMEA
• Experience in electrical wiring interconnect system design and harness integration

• Own the product development lifecycle of hardware within the avionics system
• Develop and execute verification and validation test plans against aerospace standards
• Bring up EE hardware, validate interfaces, and unblock system integration
• Lead root cause analysis of hardware failures and implement corrective actions
• Drive Design for Manufacturability and Design for Reliability with vendors
• Lead manufacturing, in-service, and reliability initiatives for avionics hardware
