Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a motivated Physical Design and Timing Engineer Intern to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on driving physical design, power, and timing closure for high-frequency and low-power designs. The intern will work on frontend and backend implementation, as well as run physical design experiments to develop methodologies. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Pursuing an MS or Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Familiarity with applying AI/ML techniques to physical design workflows.
- Knowledge of or experience with Static Timing Analysis (STA) and power analysis.
- Some experience in logic synthesis and equivalence checking.
- Experience with physical optimization, including placement and routing.
- Some background in industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence or Synopsys.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like Perl, Tcl, Make, or Python.
Responsibilities
- Drive physical design, power, and timing closure for high-frequency and low-power designs.
- Help drive frontend and backend implementation from RTL to GDSII.
- Run physical design experiments and assist in developing flows and methodologies.
