The Gen AI engineer is an intermediate-level position focused on the establishment and implementation of application systems in collaboration with the Technology team. This role involves contributing to applications systems analysis and programming activities, particularly in the realm of Generative AI. The engineer will work on developing high-quality Python code and integrating various GenAI-related APIs to create innovative features. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Python.
• Proven hands-on experience with Generative AI concepts and technologies.
• Demonstrable experience working with GenAI-related APIs, such as OpenAI and Gemini.
• Solid understanding and practical experience in implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Expertise in at least one modern Python web framework: FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, and applications development.
• Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems and provide evaluations.
• Recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis of business usage.
• Consult with users and other technology groups on issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient Python code for Generative AI applications.
• Integrate and leverage various GenAI-related APIs to build innovative features and products.
• Implement and optimize Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to enhance AI model capabilities.
• Develop and deploy robust backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, contributing to a culture of high-quality code and best practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
