Job description
The Senior Java Engineer will join the Algorithmic Trading Quant team at Citi Global Markets, focusing on the design and development of high-performance equity trading systems. This role involves collaborating with quantitative researchers and business stakeholders to translate complex financial models into robust Java applications. The team emphasizes the integration of AI and Large Language Models into the software development lifecycle. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of quantitative finance and technology, particularly in the Electronic Trading domain.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in Java development, focusing on high-performance, concurrent, and low-latency systems.
- Experience in a development environment with an AI-integrated software development lifecycle is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research and development of agency execution algorithms or related strategies.
- Master's or PhD in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize next-generation equity trading platforms.
- Translate complex financial models and strategies into robust, scalable, and low-latency Java applications.
- Drive the adoption and integration of AI and Large Language Models into the software development lifecycle.
- Perform analysis of large data sets comprising market data, orders, executions, and derived analytics.
- Enhance trading model development and simulation frameworks.
