As an Image Scientist on the Camera & Depth Architecture team, you will focus on designing and developing high-throughput simulation frameworks to generate synthetic imagery. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define hardware design specifications and performance metrics. You will work on innovative camera technologies that enhance the photography experience for Apple products. The team seeks an expert in imaging, computer vision, or rendering to guide the design and architecture of next-generation products.

• BS in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Programming experience in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Python, or Matlab.
• Experience with optics, imaging system design, computer vision, or computational imaging.
• Experience with algorithms for image quality enhancement.
• MS/PhD degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field with relevant industry experience.
• Published research in imaging, computational photography, or computer vision.
• Experience with camera sensor physics, noise modeling, or radiometry.
• Experience with synthetic data generation for ML training pipelines.
