The Lead Solutions Architect at Citi is a strategic professional responsible for establishing the structural foundation for scalable and resilient platforms in the Consumer Operations Technology Engineering & Architecture organization. This role focuses on bridging technical strategy with complex business execution, ensuring continuous modernization and operational excellence. The architect will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive innovation and safeguard the enterprise against risks. The position emphasizes the integration of advanced technologies like AI and machine learning into enterprise workflows to enhance customer experiences.

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in solutions architecture, system design, software engineering, or enterprise IT architecture.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise in architecting end-to-end distributed systems across diverse hardware, software, and networking topologies.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
• Practical knowledge and experience applying Agentic AI, Autonomous AI agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Hands-on experience architecting and deploying scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions on platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in core programming languages such as Java, Python, TypeScript, Go, or C++.
• Extensive experience designing event-driven and message-oriented integration architectures using technologies such as Apache Kafka or MuleSoft.
• Strong practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with CI/CD automation pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency with enterprise data stores, including relational databases and NoSQL platforms.
• Proven experience implementing observability, telemetry, and distributed tracing solutions using tools such as Splunk or Grafana.
• Robust analytical and technical debugging capability to solve architectural bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with architecting enterprise applications and workflow solutions using the Pega framework is a strong plus.

• Build and maintain technology roadmaps that reflect emerging industry trends.
• Translate complex business problems into well-structured, technically sound solutions.
• Architect and integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Generative AI solutions into enterprise workflows.

• Advise and mentor junior architects and engineers.
