The Applied Sensing & Health team is focused on developing innovative health and fitness solutions for Apple products. As a member of this dynamic group, you will work on multimodal sensor fusion algorithms that track human motion and provide insights to improve user health. The team is looking for ML engineers who are passionate about their craft and eager to impact millions of users. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and project managers to deliver secure and scalable systems.

• MS with 3+ years of experience in a quantitative data science discipline such as statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, or computer science.
• Strong background in developing machine learning and/or deep learning models, preferably with time series data.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Ph.D. or 5+ years of experience in a quantitative data science discipline.
• Ability to form hypotheses and creatively apply statistical approaches to data.

• Scope, design, and implement models for Health and Fitness algorithms.
• Validate algorithms with synthetic data flows and real datasets using generative AI.
• Coordinate closely with multi-disciplinary teams across the company.
• Work throughout the software lifecycle to deliver best-in-class systems.
