The Software Development Engineer role at AWS focuses on building high-performance systems to capture contractual data from AWS private pricing agreements. The Contract Onboarding team aims to enhance the customer experience by enabling faster contract signing and accurate billing. This position involves working closely with UX designers and product managers to define product scope while contributing to the entire software development lifecycle. • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for full software development life cycle.
• Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services.
• Experience in representing formal semantics of legal documents.

• Contribute to all aspects of an agile software development lifecycle.
• Design and build architecture to represent commercial contractual agreements.
• Build event-driven architectures using AWS services.
• Own and operate the systems that you build based on real-time contract data.
• Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Software Development Engineers.
• Write high-quality, efficient, testable code in Java, Kotlin, Python, and TypeScript.
• Design tools to facilitate business at Amazon scale.
• Mentor and support the growth of other developers.
