This role involves leading the technical strategy for a greenfield startup team focused on building AI-powered vertical advertising products. The team aims to transform how vertical advertisers grow on Amazon by creating specialized, AI-driven advertising experiences. You will work closely with Principal Engineers and Scientists to define the engineering roadmap and make foundational technical decisions. This position is suited for individuals who thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and are passionate about building innovative products from scratch.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Own the technical strategy and architectural direction for AI-powered advertising solutions
• Partner closely with Principal Engineers and Scientists to define the engineering roadmap
• Design and build end-to-end services and platforms from the ground up
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, science, and product teams
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to accelerate product development
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices
