Amazon Luna is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join the SIPS team, which is responsible for managing the infrastructure that supports Luna's cloud gaming platform. The role involves addressing unique infrastructure challenges related to GPU capacity and ensuring optimal performance and availability. The engineer will work on distributed services that manage compute infrastructure and collaborate with teams across Luna and AWS. This position offers opportunities to tackle complex problems and drive technical solutions from design to production.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate distributed services that power Luna's streaming infrastructure.
• Build and improve systems for automated capacity provisioning and fleet scaling across AWS regions.
• Develop solutions that enhance GPU and compute utilization while ensuring high availability and performance.
• Own features and services end-to-end, from technical design and implementation through deployment and monitoring.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues spanning distributed services and infrastructure.
• Improve the scalability, reliability, observability, and operational efficiency of SIPS services.
• Work closely with engineers across Luna and AWS to support new game launches and infrastructure capabilities.
• Participate in design and code reviews and contribute to technical decisions.
• Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge to foster a strong engineering culture.
