The AWS Graviton Software team is seeking Senior Software Development Engineers to enhance performance for Graviton processors, which provide superior price/performance in AWS data centers. The role involves optimizing software performance across various applications, including databases and machine learning workloads. Candidates will work on open-source projects and contribute to Linux kernel improvements. This position requires a strong background in software development and system performance optimization.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles
• Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Conduct performance analysis and optimization to enhance software architectures and algorithms
• Optimize software performance for AWS customers and services such as S3, Lambda, and RDS
• Contribute to open-source development and Linux kernel improvements
• Develop analysis frameworks and automation systems
