You will collaborate with various teams including Technical Program Managers and Network Engineers to ensure efficient network operations. The role involves managing the full network lifecycle across data centers and metro points of presence. Your focus will be on building a reliable and scalable network while driving process improvements and mentoring junior engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Telecom Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in DWDM, TCP/IP, or system design operations methodology.
• Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.

• Build and operate Google's network reliably and at scale.
• Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
• Develop creative approaches and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep operational costs low.
• Monitor the network and repair issues while anticipating needs and escalating issues.
• Own network documentation, update and maintain network designs and plans.
