The Senior Staff Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure role at Robinhood focuses on leading the technical direction of the Developer Infrastructure organization. This position is pivotal in unifying four engineering teams under a cohesive technical vision, primarily concentrating on the Developer Experience (DevX). The role involves leveraging AI and agentic systems to enhance the software development lifecycle, making engineers more productive. This position is based in either New York City or Menlo Park, with an expectation of in-person attendance at least three days a week.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a demonstrated track record at the Senior Staff, Principal, or Distinguished Engineer level.
• Deep expertise with Bazel and large-scale monorepo build systems.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines at massive scale.
• Fluency in Go and/or Python, with familiarity in TypeScript, Swift, or Android development environments.
• Strong background with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Experience with test infrastructure, integration test environments, or developer environment platforms.
• Genuine interest in or hands-on experience with agentic AI systems, automated code review, or AI-driven developer velocity programs.
• Exceptional technical leadership, communication, and influence skills.
• Track record of mentoring senior engineers and elevating the technical bar across large, diverse engineering organizations.

• Own the technical direction and roadmap for the Developer Infrastructure organization.
• Lead and evolve Robinhood's Bazel-based monorepo build infrastructure.
• Scale CI/CD pipelines to support thousands of daily builds with speed, safety, and reliability.
• Drive the vision for TestX, including integration test environments and personal development environments.
• Champion the integration of AI and agentic systems across the full software development lifecycle.
• Set technical standards across Backend Platform and Mobile Platform.
• Partner with engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute a long-term developer infrastructure roadmap.
