The Senior Engineer on the Edge Web Platform team at Microsoft will contribute to foundational browser technologies and web platform capabilities that impact millions of users. This role involves collaboration with standards bodies, open-source communities, and other browser vendors to enhance the web experience. The engineer will focus on areas such as networking, media, rendering, and security while driving web standards and delivering interoperable implementations. Success in this position requires strong systems engineering skills and the ability to lead projects from exploration to deployment.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
• 5+ years of experience with C++.
• Experience contributing to large-scale software engineering projects.
• Experience designing or implementing browser, runtime, operating-system, or other performance-critical systems.

• Design and deliver high-quality architecture and APIs across Edge, Chromium, and the broader web ecosystem.
• Deliver foundational web platform innovations grounded in customer, developer, and ecosystem needs.
• Contribute directly to Chromium in areas that benefit Chromium-based browsers and the broader web community.
• Partner with standards bodies, open-source communities, browser vendors, and internal teams to advance interoperable web capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to raise the bar for engineering quality and execution.
