The Azure Senior Platform Engineer - Assistant Director role at EY focuses on supporting large government cloud programs within Azure Government environments. This position is part of the Government & Public Sector (GPS) practice, which aims to deliver innovative solutions to federal, state, local, and education clients. The role involves translating business and mission needs into secure and scalable cloud platforms while guiding technical direction and influencing stakeholders. The Assistant Director will also drive continuous improvement and develop team capabilities in a high-performing environment.

• 7+ years in engineering roles working with private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and/or SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD using tools such as Bicep, Azure DevOps, ARM templates, or Ansible.
• Experience with containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and government security frameworks.
• Hands-on delivery experience in Agile environments.

• Own the delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across multiple initiatives.
• Set and guide technical direction for Azure Government platforms.
• Establish and evolve DevSecOps practices and automation approaches.
• Lead architecture and design efforts, reviewing and approving solutions.
• Oversee risk, dependency, and issue management across delivery efforts.
• Influence stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Develop and grow engineering talent through coaching and feedback.
• Promote operational excellence by continuously improving processes and tooling.
